VARIBOX FC 800 and CC 250 Low Level Sensor Viton

Get an Early Warning Before Your VARIBOX Runs Empty

The VARIBOX FC 800 and CC 250 Low Level Sensor Viton provides an early indication when the amount of liquid inside your VARIBOX is becoming low. Instead of waiting until the container is completely empty, the sensor gives your process time to respond while product is still available. The sensor switches when approximately 50 litres remain in the VARIBOX FC 800 or approximately 30 litres remain in the VARIBOX CC 250. This advance warning can be used to prepare a replacement container, plan a timely changeover or trigger an action within a connected control system. For processes that depend on a continuous chemical supply, low-level detection helps operators stay one step ahead.

Plan Your Container Change in Time

An unexpected empty container can interrupt dosing, treatment or production processes. The VARIBOX Low Level Sensor helps prevent surprises by indicating that the available chemical is approaching a low level. Unlike an empty level sensor, which signals when virtually all usable product has been extracted, the low level sensor provides its signal earlier. This gives operators valuable time to prepare for the next container change. For the VARIBOX FC 800, the switching point is approximately 50 litres. For the VARIBOX CC 250, it is approximately 30 litres. The result is greater visibility over your chemical supply without relying solely on manual level checks.

Automatic Level Detection with a Float Switch

The Low Level Sensor uses a float switch inside the VARIBOX to monitor the liquid level. While sufficient product remains in the container, the float is raised and the electrical circuit remains closed. As the liquid level falls, the float moves down. Once the predefined low level is reached, the electrical contact opens. This converts the physical liquid level inside the VARIBOX into a signal that can be used by external equipment. Depending on the configuration of your installation, this signal can be used to generate a warning or initiate another predefined process action.

Integrate Your VARIBOX into Process Control

The Low Level Sensor makes it possible to integrate container status into your wider process. Through the corresponding electrical connection, the signal from the VARIBOX can be transferred to external control equipment. This is particularly useful in automated installations or locations where operators cannot continuously monitor the remaining chemical volume. The exact response to the low-level signal is determined by the connected control system. This gives system designers the flexibility to incorporate the VARIBOX into the automation strategy of the application. Instead of functioning only as chemical packaging, the VARIBOX can actively provide information about the availability of the product inside.

One Sensor for the FC 800 and CC 250

This Viton Low Level Sensor is designed for use with both the VARIBOX FC 800 and VARIBOX CC 250. This provides a consistent level detection solution for operations using either or both VARIBOX models. Although the containers have different capacities, the same sensor concept provides an advance warning before the available chemical is exhausted. The different switching levels are matched to the container: approximately 50 litres for the FC 800 and approximately 30 litres for the CC 250.

Viton Configuration

This version of the Low Level Sensor is designed for the Viton configuration and is manufactured using Viton, PE, PP and PVC.  Selecting the correct material configuration is important when components are used in contact with chemicals. Compatibility depends on the chemical itself as well as its concentration, temperature and the operating conditions of the application. Always verify chemical compatibility before selecting the appropriate sensor configuration for your VARIBOX.

Fail-Safe Level Monitoring

The VARIBOX Low Level Sensor uses a fail-safe electrical principle. The electrical circuit opens when the predefined low level is reached. The circuit will also open if the sensor cable is damaged. This helps ensure that a cable failure does not simply continue to produce the same electrical state as a container with sufficient liquid. The signal can then be interpreted by the connected control equipment according to the requirements of the installation. Correct installation and integration of the sensor into the external control system are therefore essential for reliable operation.

Support Continuity of Chemical Supply

A low-level warning can make an important difference in processes where chemical availability is critical. By providing information before the container reaches empty, the sensor gives operators time to organise the next step. A replacement VARIBOX can be prepared before the current container is exhausted, helping make changeovers more predictable. This can reduce reliance on manual inspections and supports a more controlled approach to chemical supply management.

Safer, Reusable and Sustainable

The Low Level Sensor complements the wider VARIBOX philosophy of Safer, Reusable and Sustainable chemical packaging.

Safer

Automatic level monitoring reduces the need to manually determine how much chemical remains inside the VARIBOX. The early warning also allows operators to prepare for a container change before the product supply is exhausted.

Reusable

VARIBOX containers are designed for repeated industrial use. Individual components, including sensors, can be inspected and replaced when required, supporting the continued operation of the complete reusable system.

Sustainable

Better visibility of remaining product helps organisations manage their chemical supply efficiently. Combined with reusable VARIBOX packaging and serviceable components, this supports a controlled and resource-efficient chemical handling process.

Know Before You Run Out

The VARIBOX FC 800 and  CC 250 Low Level Sensor Viton provides advance notice that your chemical supply is approaching its minimum level. With a switching point at approximately 50 litres in the FC 800 and 30 litres in the CC 250, the sensor gives your process time to respond while product is still available.  Whether the signal is used to alert an operator, prepare a replacement VARIBOX or support an automated process action, the Low Level Sensor adds valuable information to your chemical handling system. Add reliable low-level detection to your VARIBOX FC 800 or CC 250 and know before your chemical supply runs out.
