The CDS Coupler White and Round Viton creates a secure connection between your pumping installation and the VARIBOX CDS extractor tube. Designed as part of the closed dispensing system, the coupler allows liquid chemicals to be transferred from the VARIBOX directly into your process while keeping the container closed.

Once connected to the corresponding CDS extractor tube, a leak-tight connection is established. The coupler and extractor tube open simultaneously, allowing product to flow while air enters the VARIBOX automatically.

Connect Without Opening the VARIBOX

Connecting an IBC to a pump or process installation can be a critical moment in chemical handling. The CDS system is designed to make this connection controlled and straightforward.

The CDS Coupler is attached to your installation and connects directly to the top of the matching extractor tube. There is no need to open the VARIBOX screwcap for dispensing or aeration.

As soon as the correct connection is made, the product flow path opens. Air can enter the container automatically as liquid is extracted, allowing the VARIBOX to remain closed during the dispensing process.

This means fewer manual actions around the chemical and less opportunity for product or fumes to escape.

Automatic Closing When Disconnected

Safety remains important when dispensing is finished.

When the CDS Coupler is disconnected, both the coupler and the extractor tube automatically close. This stops the open connection between the VARIBOX and the pumping installation without requiring an additional manual closing step.

Automatic closing also helps prevent product from the pump installation flowing back through the connection after disconnection.

For operators, this provides a straightforward connection process: connect to open the closed transfer route and disconnect to close it again.

White & Round Viton Connection

This CDS Coupler features the white and round connection for the Viton configuration and is designed to be used with the corresponding CDS Extractor Tube Viton.

Using matching components is essential for maintaining the intended operation of the closed dispensing system.

The coupler itself is manufactured from PVDF and Hastelloy, materials selected for demanding chemical applications. Chemical compatibility should always be verified for the specific product, concentration, temperature and operating conditions.

When a VARIBOX is configured with Viton, the seals within the corresponding CDS extractor tube are made from Aflas®.

From Pump Installation to Product

The CDS Coupler forms the external half of the closed dispensing connection.

It can be connected to a hose leading to your pump or process installation. Once attached to the corresponding extractor tube, the complete system creates a controlled route for the product:

Process installation → hose → CDS Coupler → CDS Extractor Tube → VARIBOX

This allows the contents of the VARIBOX to become part of your production or dosing process without repeatedly opening and closing the IBC itself.

Using an original CDS Coupler also ensures that the coupler and extractor tube are designed to open and close together as one system.
